For anyone who has been following my social media, this year has been rough. Perhaps that is why I have not kept my blog up to date. Or perhaps I am just bad at it. A birthday during this time is not going to make me feel much better about myself. My birthdays have been memorable, but not in any good way. 2020 was the lock-down. 2021 was a long day of work (14 hours), and 2022 was a leadership change at radiant that ultimately lead to my unemployment.

My parents had just moved to Chattanooga, TN the month before. Due to my mental state, I didn’t move with them. Mind you, I was not opposed to their move, but I had just moved back to Indiana a couple months prior. Wasn’t really to pack-up and move again. I had enough to deal with.

With that being said, I did visit them for my birthday. I needed to get away from Indiana. I was studying my butt off to try to create a better future for myself. I needed a break. I needed to get away. I needed to see my dog.

It ended up being an enjoyable, relaxing week. It was also the first time I had really touched my cameras since coming home. I missed photography. I missed art. The weather was warmer than Indiana. Somewhat rainy, but overall nice. There were plenty of hikes and exploration, and this kicked off a trend I started to follow when I returned home.

But for now, enjoy the photos:
